Add the storefront widget
RebillCart ships one theme app block that shows subscription options on your product pages. It automatically adapts to what a product offers — a plain “Subscribe & save” toggle, a curated monthly box, or a build-your-own-box picker — so you only ever add a single block per template.
Add the block in the theme editor
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on your live (or a duplicate) theme.
- Navigate to a product page template.
- Click Add block in the section where you want the subscription option to appear (typically just below price, above the Add to cart button).
- Choose the RebillCart Subscription Widget block.
- Save.
The block renders differently depending on what the product has attached to it:
| The product has… | Widget shows |
|---|---|
| A regular subscription plan only | One-time purchase · Subscribe & save (with frequency picker) |
| A monthly box plan only | One-time purchase · Monthly box (with “what’s inside” preview) |
| Both | One-time · Subscribe & save · Monthly box, all as one option group |
| Neither | Nothing — the block stays hidden |
Customize the look
From the same block’s settings panel in the theme editor you can change, without touching code:
- Layout of the purchase options — classic list, cards, a comparison table, or tabs.
- Frequency picker style — dropdown, pills, tabs, or cards, each showing real “Save X%” badges pulled from your plan’s actual discount (never a hand-typed label).
- Row order — one-time first vs. subscribe-first, and box-first vs. box-last.
- Colors, corner radius, and shadow to match your theme, plus a sandboxed Custom CSS field for anything the built-in controls don’t cover.
- An optional benefits list and trust row under the subscribe option.

Verify it works
Before pointing customers at it:
- Open the product page on your online store preview (not just the theme editor preview — test the real storefront).
- Select the subscribe option and add to cart.
- Complete a test checkout (Shopify’s test payment gateways work in a development store) and confirm the order appears with a subscription contract.
- Check that the new subscription shows up under Subscriptions in the RebillCart admin.
